In a city of rain and fog
Elegant like a shimmering gun’s stock.
People are swallowing their hot tears
Of crystal lights and surreptitious fears.
Mouth to mouth, they aren't shut,
Flowers of a colourful mysterious drug.
Gloomy crimes of an unknown beauty,
A land of waves and wind, of longing and duty.
Mother Hulda showers you with pitch and oil,
Dutch poetry written on shingly soil.
Girls with portholes instead of eyes,
A lonely patrol station as a place to disguise.
Here it’s hard to define who you actually are:
A sin, a ray, a junkie, flesh or tar.
Those who fight against the regimes,
Called ruby ducks, you know what that means!
You got some water, but water makes you dry
You got some water, but water makes you blind

Recorded on the Grecian isle of Hydra, this is blissed-out psych pop with stacked falsetto harmonies and luscious arrangements. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 9, 2023
